Maria Elena Oberti
Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Oberti is an Amsterdam-based writer, editor and copywriter specialised in the fields of art, architecture and design. An interior designer by training, Oberti began her career working as a commercial and residential interior designer in Vancouver before migrating to the Netherlands to pursue a master's degree and her first passion: poetry. A former editor at Frame, to which she is a frequent contributor, she writes for Canadian design and lifestyle magazines Azure and Nuvo, and is a contributing editor to UK's Darc. When she's not writing about design, she's copywriting, crafting creative content for design brands and retailers from around the world. Her client list includes Japanese electronics company Ricoh, luxury Dutch design brands Marcel Wanders and Moooi, and German sportswear giant Adidas. She is currently working at the Adidas headquarters in Amsterdam as a UX Copywriter and UX Research Producer. In addition to English, she is fluent in Italian, French, and Spanish and has lived and worked in Paris, Turin and Florence.
